I went to help someone yesterday get a halter back on the rehab horse I'd sent home with her. She can touch him, but he's got a big rope issue so haltering is difficult. Each time she reached out to him (after I had his halter back on), he'd pull away, so she backed off. Misdirected pressure and release, I told her, and made her keep moving in to him until he stood still and she could scratch on him. They both felt better! Hope you find me at the Expo! One complaint I have about EA is there is so much going on at the same time. I would have liked to have seen some hunter/jumper demos, but couldn't because I had scheduled to see someone else at the same time. I too take notes and have come home with some amazing exercises from the hunter/jumper and dressage sessions. I'm not much for sitting in on the Craig Cameron/Monty Roberts type stuff.
